Why do historians study ancient india?
Have you ever noticed that its humans repeat themselves? They repeat their mistakes, they repeat their actions, they even repeat the good deeds that they did. People have copied their ancestors and some cultures even worship their ancestors. The ancient Indians fought through tough times and so did other ancient peoples. I personally believe that one big reason that historians dig through caves, study ancient writings, and bring their whole energy into things that happened before their time is to learn from other peoples mistakes. In India they had a caste system, and they brutally treated their own people ( untouchables ). Most people today know that all people are equal and are helping to stop this unfair treatment that brought by the caste system. Everyone today, including military and political leaders, can benefit from learning from the mistakes and triumphs of ancient India and that is why historians study it.
